Installing myVPN on Windows 10

  1. Download the .zip installation file:
    Windows 10 (64-bit) (This is the most common, including all BCIT issued laptops)
    Windows 10 (32-bit)
  2. Extract the zipped install file and run it to begin the installation.
  3. Click Next to begin the installation of the Virtual Intranet Access application.
  4. Check the I Accept the terms and conditions checkbox and click Next.
  5. Click Next on the Destination Folder window.
  6. Click Install.
  7. Select Yes to the installation prompt that appears.
  8. When the program is installed, click the Click to download VPN profile button.
  9. Enter myvpn.bcit.ca in the Download VPN Profile window. Click Download.
  10. Enter your BCIT ID (A0..) and password. Click Proceed.
    Note: Occasionally, the VPN client minimizes to the system tray before you can connect. Look in the system tray if you can’t find the VPN client.
  11. Click on the VPN Disconnected button to connect to VPN.
    Note: There should also be an Aruba VIA icon in your Windows taskbar. You can right click this icon and select Connect.
  12. If you see the green circle, you are connected to VPN.

  2. Open the Virtual Intranet Access application. Click on the VPN Disconnected button to connect to VPN.
    Note: There should also be an Aruba VIA icon in your Windows taskbar. You can right click this icon and select Connect.
  3. If you see the green circle, you are connected to VPN.
